The ingredients needed to make Dirty Rice:
  1. Make ready 1 pound ground meat
  2. Prepare 1 pound ground pork
  3. Get 24 oz bottle of chicken broth
  4. Prepare half 32 oz beef broth
  5. Get Bell pepper
  6. Prepare 2 cloves minced garlic
  7. Take 1 medium onion
  8. Get Green onion
  9. Take celery (optional)
  10. Get paprika (optional)
  11. Get 1 dash chili powder (for spice)
  12. Prepare 2 cups white rice
Instructions to make Dirty Rice:
  1. Brown ground pork and beef, season to taste. Drain.
  2. Add chopped veggies (onion, bellpepper, green onion) to soften last few minutes of browning meats, and add minced garlic.
  3. Add half of beef broth, whole bottle of chicken broth, drained meats, rice, paprika, and chili powder to a medium/large pot. Bring to a boil. After it starts to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until liquid is gone.
  4. This step is optional. You can add to a pan and put the dirty rice in the oven on 350 for 10-15 min for darker dirty rice.
