Hey everyone, it is Drew, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a special dish, beef roast. One of my favorites. For mine, I am going to make it a little bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Beef Roast is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It is appreciated by millions every day. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Beef Roast is something that I have loved my whole life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook beef roast using 17 ingredients and 17 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Beef Roast:
  1. Get Big Red onion finely sliced
  2. Prepare Beef chuck roast cut into bite size pieces
  3. Make ready garlic cloves minced
  4. Take minced ginger
  5. Make ready Shallots skinned and cut into halves
  6. Make ready slit green chilly
  7. Get Kashmiri red chilly/Paprika
  8. Prepare Coriander powder
  9. Get Cumin powder
  10. Get fresh ground Garam Masala(Indian spice mix)
  11. Take Ground Black pepper
  12. Take Turmeric powder
  13. Make ready Salt(as per taste)
  14. Prepare stem Curry leaves
  15. Take Chopped Cilantro for garnish
  16. Make ready Mustard seeds
  17. Take Coconut oil
Steps to make Beef Roast:
  1. Wash and clean the beef pieces thoroughly.
  2. Pressure cook the beef in IP along with 1 tsp each chilly powder,salt,turmeric and black pepper and 1 cup water in Instant Pot for 20 mins and allow natural steam release.(Chuck beef is tender and will cook in less time compared to flank, and other cuts of beef)
  3. Turn the steam handle of the IP lid to venting and transfer the beef to a different container(reserve the stock for later use)
  4. Set the IP on sauté mode(continue using the same innerpot)and add some coconut oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Let the mustard seeds splutter.
  5. Now add in minced ginger and garlic and stir for few minutes until the raw smell leaves.
  6. Now add the red onion slices along with turmeric and salt and sauté until onions are soft.
  7. Add in the shallots and green chilly and stir for few mintutes to get them lightly transparent
  8. Now add all the spice powders- red chilly,black pepper,coriander powder,cumin powder and 1 tsp garam masala(reserve some for the end)
  9. Stir the spices well into the sauted onions and a 1/2 cup of the reserved beef stock.
  10. Cover IP with a glass lid and cook for 2 minutes so that the masala is well cooked and oil starts separating.
  11. Now add in the cooked beef pieces.
  12. Combine the beef and masala well on the sauté mode(less-medium).
  13. Check the salt,if needed add more oil and cook for 10 mintutes covered with lid and another 10 mnts uncovered. Stir in between.
  14. Once the beef is dry and oil separates, mix some garam masala powder, add remaining curry leaves.
  15. Set the IP on keep warm setting/ serve hot garnished with chopped cilantro.
  16. Tip#2.Once the beef is getting dry, you can transfer it into a large nonstick pan and allow slow browning to have more control👍😊
  17. Tip#1.The drier you want your beef mixture, the longer you have to leave the dish on sauté mode but keep stiring in between(you dont want the masala to burn or stick to the bottom of the pot!)
